Father’s Day is fast approaching in Japan — June 19. It’s time to show Dad some goddamn appreciation. And the conbini has got you covered. Sort of.

Check out FamilyMart’s catalog that covers both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. The sequence of products begins with stuff for Mom and ends with stuff for Dad, while the middle includes items suitable for both.

The catalog clearly distinguishes between items for Mom and Dad with the labels 母の日 (Mother’s Day) and 父の日 (Father’s Day), which sit above product numbers.

Booze

As with most things in Japan, alcohol plays a big role. FamilyMart smartly ships lots of booze for both parents because the boss has Dad working late again and these goddamn kids won’t shut the hell up for Mom. What a better way to show you love them than with a case of beer and a bottle of umeshu.
